Ania Wyszkoni

Ania Wyszkoni (born July, 21st 1980 in Tworków in Upper Silesia), a singer, songwriter and a composer. The vocalist of the band Łzy (Tears) for 14 years. Since the year 2009, she has has followed her solo music career. She has four Platinum and two Gold Records to her credit. Her solo album entitled "Pan i Pani" (A Lady and a Gentleman) has been certified platinum for sales exceeding 40 thousand copies. In the year 2011, Ania took part in the TOP Trendy Festival and she came sixth in album sales in Poland in the year 2010.
She started her career in the early girlhood when,in the peace and quiet of her family life,she would perform her first music pieces to vacuum or deo accessories.Her most spectacular success came with the appearance of the band ŁZY in her career in the year 1996. In the same year, the first Ania's compositions performed together with the band Łzy appeared and they soon gained enormous popularity with the local radio channels. Ania's first solo success was the first location,two special distinctions and receiving publicity award at the Wyszków Vocal Festival.
Ania's career in media started when she won the Grand Prix prize during the Gama Festival in Radom in 1999.It was there that she was noticed by Elżbieta Skrętkowska and invited to take part in a well known Tv programme entitled "Szansa na sukces"(The Chance for Success).It was in March, 2000 that she won the programme for performing the song from the repertoice of the band Myslovitz "Długość dźwięku samotności"(''The Length of the Sound of Loneliness'').She was also awarded the prize for the best singer during the "Po-Graj" Festival in Opole.In the year 2001,the second album of Łzy entitled „W związku z samotnością"(In Connection with Loneliness) was released and thanks to such hits as ''Agnieszka" or ''Narcyz" turned out to be a huge commercial success,earning platinum sales (over 150 thousand albums were sold).Hovever,it was the next, fourth album entitled'' Nie czekaj najutro''(''Don't Wait Till Tomorrow”)released in 2003 that gave Ania the nationwide popularity and the presence on the Polishradio charts.Her popularity became even bigger when she received the Publicity Award during the National Premiere Festival of the Polish Song in Opole for her song „Oczy szeroko zamknięte"(''Eyes Widely Closed'') which had soon become one of the mostwidely recognized Polish hits.The album "Nie czekaj na jutro" had soon reached platinum sales exceeding the number of 80,000 sold copies.
In the year 2004, the band ŁZY received the second prize in the local pre-selection as part of the Eurovovision Song Contest 2004,and also the second prize in the biggest Polish plebiscite ''The Telecameras 2004'' in the music category.During the Opole Song Contest,in June 2004, the band Łzy received two SUPERJEDYNKA prizes in two categories; The Best Band of the Year and the Greatest Hit of the Year for the song "Oczy szeroko zamknięte"(''Eyes Widely Closed''). In the same year, the band received ''Two Microphones'' from the Popcorn's readers.
In the year 2006,Ania, still performing with the band Łzy received another Platinum Record for the compilation of her grearest hits entitled „The Best Of 1996-2006".As it soon turned out, it was the lastalbum released in association with the band Łzy.
In the year 2008, Ania Wyszkoni made her guest appearance in the song recording entitled "Soft" by the band Video, and it soon became one of the greatest hits of the year 2008, occupying the radio playlists for more than six months.Along with the band Video,Ania took part in the Sopot Festival, fighting for the Bursztynowy Słowik Award.
In the year 2009, Ania released her first solo album entitled "Pan i Pani"including the greatest hits such as "Czy ten pan i pani", "Z ciszą pośród czterech ścian", "Lampa i sofa" or "Wiem, że jesteś tam".The album had soon become gold and then platinum and each of the four singles had achieved its commercial success. It was with the first composition that Ania reached for the Silver Premiere of the 46th National Song Contest in Opole.It was at the same festival that she received the Photo journalist Prize. Two years later, also during the Opole Festival, Ania received the most apprreciated prize on the Polish music scene, the Superjedynka 2011 for THE Greatest Hit Of The Year for the song "Wiem, że jesteś tam"(''IKnow You Are There'').
Ania's solo album is the most sophisticated expression of the artist Wyszkoni and the most mature and refined compilation ofmusic styles that are close to her hearts.Apart from the compositions compopsed by Ania Herself, the album also includes some of the brilliant pieces by Ania Dąbrowska, Mikis Cupas, the guitarist of the band Wilki who accompanied Ania during her concerts.The album was made in association with one of the best producer duos in Poland; Bogdane Kondracki and Kuba Galiński representing the Jazzboy studio. Ania was also supported by such outstanding musicians as Marek Napiórkowski, Marcin Macuk, Marcin „U1” Ułanowski, Robert Cichy or Bogdan Kondracki and Kuba Galiński.
Ania Wyszkoni has some acting achievements to her credit.In the year 2010, she was invited by the authors of the TVP series entitled'' dobre i na złe" to take part in the 412th episode where she played the part of an artist seriously affected by health problems.She was there accompanied by such outstanding actors as Artur Żmijewski or Ewa Kasprzyk.
At the beginning of 2009, Ania took part in the concert tout entitled "Wiosna, ach to ty" the alternative band Plateau as part of the Grechuta Project in really modern arrangements of Sonia Bohosiewicz, Martyna Jakubowicz, Marek Jackowski, Adam Nowak, Piotr Cugowski, Marek Piekarczyk or Titus.
Ania Wyszkoni's concerts are sophisicated and spectacular, filled with rock energy. Ania's honesty and sensationalism attract listeners of all ages. On stage, she is accompanied by an amazing and highly experienced septet.
